Charles Henry Peacock, Jr. SUMMERVILLE - Charles Henry Peacock, Jr., 93, of Summerville, SC, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on September 29, 2025. Born on September 3, 1932, he was the beloved son of the late Charles H. Peacock, Sr. and Eulalie Peacock. Charlie was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He shared 68 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Miriam Logan Peacock, who stood faithfully by his side through every stage of life. Their love was a shining example of faith, patience, and joy. Charlie was a true patriot, whose love for his country was evident in his dedicated service in the United States Navy. Serving with honor and compassion, he held the role of Hospital Corpsman, providing care and support to his fellow service members. Charlie attended St. Andrews High School and was a captain of the basketball and football team. He was a proud graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, Charlie earned his degree in pharmacy and spent his career helping others through his work. His dedication to serving others extended far beyond his profession, he was a committed member of his church, joyfully participating in mission trips and always seeking to be the hands and feet of Christ in both word and deed. Charlie had a love for the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed a good round of golf, found peace in his garden, and took special pride in his blueberry bushes. He was known to family and friends as a warm-hearted jokester, always ready with a story or a quip that could bring a smile even on the hardest days. More than anything, Charlie loved his family. He was a patient soul, a steady presence, and a source of wisdom and comfort to those blessed to know him. His legacy of faith, kindness, and quiet strength will live on in the lives he touched. He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam L. Peacock; his children: Sharon P. Schuler (Milan), Charles H. Peacock, III (Edna), Susan P. Hugel, and Cindy P. Steffen; his grandchildren: Austin L. Graham (Tracy), Charles W. Peacock (Thanicha), Gregory J. Schuler (Cecile), Henry D. Peacock, David A. Hugel, and Cindy Hugel; his great-granddaughter, Sydney Renee Graham; his siblings: Thomas R. Peacock (Peggy) and Carole P. Holbert (Larry); as well as his brother-in-law, Elwood Housand. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joan P. Housand; as well as his sons-in-law: Thomas Hugel and Bob Steffen. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 2pm to 3pm, at Summerville Presbyterian Church, 407 S. Laurel Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The funeral service will begin at 3:00pm in the Church. Burial and Military Honors will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, beginning at 11:00am, at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
