Charles Miley Obituary

MILEY, JR., Charles Charles Charlie John Miley, Jr. 86, husband of Mary Alice Deer Miley died Sunday at his residence. He was a native of Hampton County, and a son of the late Charles J. Miley and Lucille Terry Miley. Mr. Miley was a Farmer, Co-Owner and Operator of Miley's Exxon for 32 years. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II and member of Bellinger Chapel United Methodist Church. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Brunson Cemetery with Pastor Wally West and Rev. Charles Hattaway officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Bowers, Max Hogarth, Pete Cornwell, Jimmy McMillan, Ed Corbin, Clarence McMillan and Carl Platts. Mr. Miley is survived by his wife Mary Alice Deer Miley, four children Johnny (Janet) Miley of Green Pond, SC, Robert (Margaret) Miley, Billy (Rae) Miley both of Brunson, SC, Beverley Allen of Sycamore, SC. Additional survivors are twelve grandchildren, Jay (Dana) Miley, Gina (Keith) Altman, Jodi (Scott) Stamp, Jennifer (Spike) Pitman, Melanie (Scott) Dietterick, Marty (Sheila) Miley , Michelle Miley Young, Hud Miley,Chip Allen, Michael(Julie)Allen Christy (Randy) Murdaugh and sixteen great-grandchildren, one sister, Reba Miley Peeples. Mr. Miley was preceded in death by his brother Loring T. Miley, one sister Helen Miley Roberts, son-in-law Otis Lynn Allen, Sr. and one grandson Justin Allen.
