Charles McGlothlin Obituary

McGLOTHLIN, JR., C. Charles Henry McGlothlin, Jr., 67, of Moncks Corner, SC, retired general counsel for Santee Cooper, died Thursday afternoon in a North Charleston hospital. The funeral will be 1:00 PM, Monday afternoon, March 10, 2008, in the First Baptist Church, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday. Mr. McGlothlin was born August 27, 1940, in Welch, WV, a son of Charles H. McGlothlin, Sr., and Fannie Louise Webb McGlothlin. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the S.C. Bar Association, and the Berkeley County Bar Association. Mr. McGlothlin received his bachelor's degree from Concord University and was a graduate of the USC School of Law. Surviving are his wife, Martha Jo Hogan McGlothlin; his parents of Wytheville, VA; two sons, David A. McGlothlin and his wife Debbie of Timmonsville and Brian E. McGlothlin and his wife Donna of Macedonia; a brother, Joseph A. McGlothlin and his wife Gail of Tallahassee, FL; and four grandchildren, Beth McGlothlin, Stephanie McGlothlin, Harry McGlothlin, and Paul McGlothlin.
