Charles Lucas Obituary

Dr. Lucas delivered our first child in 1996. He will always have a special place in my heart.

I worked for "Big Al" for a number of years doing Ultrasound. He was a great doctor. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

So sorry to hear of Dr. Lucas passing. I worked with him at TRMC. He had a great since of humor and was wonderful with his patients. May He rest in peace. God Bless You All.

My family is saddened to hear of Allen's passing, we all went to First Christian Church in downtown together, many years ago.

DR. Lucas was an amazing obgyn. He delivered my first son when I was young. I will never forget him, not only bc he was an amazing doctor. But he had a wonderful personality and he always brought my spirits up

I am blessed to have known Dr. Lucas. I was sent to him because I was having twins and my own doctor told me he wanted me to be treated by the best. I had a great pregnancy but a very dangerous birth situation and had it not been for Dr. Lucas my precious boys would not have celebrated their 25th birthday this past week. I am forever grateful. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I hope all of the nice stories written here will offer some tiny bit of comfort in the coming weeks.

Dear Lucas Family, I am sadden to hear of the passing of such a great man and physician. Not only I did work with him in the medical field but I was a patient of his for 20 years.
On Thanksgiving day almost 22 years ago, our beautiful little girl was delivered by him. It was because of him that my husband and I received the greatest gift of our lives and for that he will always hold a special place in my heart!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!

To Susan and the Lucas family - It seems only yesterday the Flick family was living next to you on Sandhurst. I am looking at the key holder you gave us in 1990, and the water color painting of the Battery, which we have mounted as mementos. We will always keep our memories of Lucas in our hearts - we were all honored to know both of you and the rest of your family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Lucas. I was honored to work for him for 23 years and enjoyed every day. He is remembered as a wonderful OB/GYN who genuinely cared about the health of his patients. He is missed every single day. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Susan, Chris and Andrew- I am so sorry for the loss of such an amazing person. I worked for him for 16 years and loved every day I was there. I just lost my wonderful husband, Olin, to cancer. Susan, Allen was one of my favorites in high school. A truely special man extremely smart but still compassionate. He was with me at Trident as my wife and I had our first child, Stephanie giving me comfort. May the peace of Christ be with you and your family in the days that follow.

Wellyn and I are so sorry. Every interaction with Allen brought a smile to my face. As you may know, my father was one of Allen's preceptors at Greenville General Hospital. Even in his old age he would periodically ask "How is that Lucas boy with the big grin doing?" We are praying for you and the boys.

May the Lord comfort you during this time. Allen was the greatest OB/GYN who had such a vibrant personality! We will forever treasure our memories with him as he provided care and guidance during the birth of our two sons.

We are all so sorry to hear about Allen's passing. I will forever be grateful for the love and care he gave my little sister Emily throughout her life and her death. And for the care both him and Susan showed my entire family. All of you will be in my prayers - I send you all my love during this difficult time. Bye, Joey - we will miss you.

Chip and I were so saddened to hear about Allen. He was such a good friend in high school and brought joy and laughter to many of our classes together. We are praying for peace and comfort for you and your family.

Susan, I still think about all those soccer games and baseball games with Chris and Alex and Kevin and Andrew. All those soccer trips and the "infamous" state baseball tournament in Conway. We are praying for all of You.

Dear Lucas Family, I was so sad to hear the news. I worked with Dr. Lucas for 7 years at the (then) Health South Surgery Center. He was always "larger than life", singing and laughing. It was a pleasure to work with him. I also know how much he loved his family. I'm honored to have known him. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. So sad to hear of your loss. Dr. Lucas was a great Doctor. He was the first ob/gyn doctor I ever went to and since he left the practice have never been able to find another one like him or the practice. Finally was able to plan it so he could deliver my third child. He will be truly missed. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

We will always remember the last days of High school when you and Allen drove off in your VW to start a truly wonderful life. I was blessed to have worked with Dr. Lucas for almost seven years. He delivered my niece and was always loving about his job. We were a family at Trident OB/GYN-he treated me like a daughter. My heart goes out to you Mrs. Susan, Christopher, and Andrew. May you all find comfort and peace.
