Charles Livingston Obituary

Charles Livingston HANAHAN - Charles Henry Livingston I, 85, of Hanahan, husband of Olive Livingston passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Veteran's Victory House, Walerboro, SC. Mr. Livingston was born March 30, 1928 in Charleston, SC. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard after 20 years of service. He loved animals, coached pony league baseball "Robert's Refrigeration." He took teams to state playoffs, and then went on to be an umpire for years. Then came the "grands" and oh how he loved them and all his dogs and "birds" along life's journey. He survived by his loving wife, Olive of 61 years; two daughters, Barbara Livingston Meaney of Goose Creek and Debbie Livingston Fain of Jackson, TN; one son, Charles H. Livingston II "Chuck" (Beth) of Hanahan; two sisters, Betty Edwards, Laura Ensley; one brother, Bobby Livingston, all of Hanahan; eight grandchildren, Nicki, Chad, Paige (Stephen), Emily (Bradley), Vicki, Brooke, Amanda, David; five great-grandchildren, Isabella, Matthew, James, Stella and Brayden and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 2090 Executive Hall Road, Charleston, SC 29407.
