JOHNSON, Charles Entered into eternal rest on the evening of March 28, 2009, Charles Frederick Johnson, husband of Sally Bland Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Johnson are invited to attend his funeral service at the graveside on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 at two o'clock in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mr. Johnson was born March 16, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Woolsey McAlpine Johnson and Katharine Veronica O'Hara Johnson. He was a graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, CT. He was a United States Marine, having served in World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Marine Corps Reserve as a Captain. He was of the Episcopal faith and a retired magazine Editor. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sally Bland Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, two daughters, Sally Muir and Serena Murphy; one son, Woolsey McAlpine Johnson; three grandchildren, John Charles Muir, Sally Bland Muir and Emma Renee Murphy.
