Charles Jernigan Obituary

JERNIGAN, Charles Charles William Jernigan, 72, of Mount Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 4, 2006. The relatives and friends of Mr. Jernigan are invited to attend his Service of Remembrance on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 7:00 o'clock at the Mount Pleasant Chapel. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 to 7:00 o'clock. Mr. Jernigan was born December 14, 1933, in Mt. Olive, NC, son of William Eli Jernigan and Louise Lewis Jernigan. He was a realtor with the Worth Agency from 1966-1970. He established the Charlie Jernigan & Assoc. Realtors in 1970 where he served as president. He was a member of Greater Charleston Board of Realtors and of the National Assn. of Realtors. He was a former member of I.O.P. Exchange Club and served on the I.O.P. City Council. He also served as a former Mayor Pro Tem for I.O.P. He is survived by two sons, William Joseph Jernigan & Deborah Strobel, of Hanahan, SC, and Bobby James Jernigan & Colleen Wolpert of Isle of Palms, SC, one daughter Crystal LeAnn Jernigan of Johns Island, SC, two sisters, Cassie & Willie Ray Hudson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Ruby & James Henderson of Teachey, NC, and three grandchildren, and five great grand-children. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lowcountry Orphan Relief Fund, PO Box 1074, Charleston, SC 29204-1074, or East Cooper Meals on Wheels, 2304 N Hwy 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. So sorry to hear that Charlie has passed on, but now he has no worries and no pain.

I will always remember Charlie with a smile, and never forget what a sweet and kind man he was.
