To the Jackson Family-
I knew him all my life as my Sunday School teacher..a rite of passage at Victory COGIC. He was always lively, kind and caring. He was like an uncle to me...the only person that called me Ivanell (a term of endearment that he created for Iris Renell). God bless his soul and the late Sis. Louise Jackson you both meant the world to me and to my Christian walk...I could not be at the services but I sent my heart and my prayers.Love Nell

~To The Jackson Family~

My heart was truly saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Jackson. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Mr. Jackson at Heartland Rehabilitation Center during our Nursing Home Ministry, in which we visit the second Sunday of every month. He would be in the dayroom awaiting our arrival for prayer, praise and worship and a word from the Lord. Just know that God makes no mistake. Look to the hills whence comes your help and your help comes from the Lord. My prayer is that these words brings you comfort during your loss - 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. God Bless!

It has been so very long ago that God brought me into the Victory Church of God in Christ and into the hands of Mother Louise and Deacon Charles Jackson. The moments we shared are all so very meaningful today. I remember songs sung, words given of both praise and reprimand; all in love. They both helped me grow up in Christ and I am ever grateful; I learned how to pray and to hold on. Min. Cynthia, Sis. Harriet, Pastor Gerald, and Sweetheart Andrea, I too share part of your heritage. So many years we prayed for all of you. Your parents were so proud of you and all the grands and great grands. They proudly boasted of every good gift you gave to them; they appreciated it.You know it's grand, grand, grand; they've gone home to live with Jesus - weep but KNOW, it's grand!

To The Jackson Family:

I met Deek over 17 years ago, while he worked at Silas Barber Shop. I will always remember Deek as a very wise & kind-hearted man who offered words of encouragement to everyone that stop by the barber shop.

Often times, Deek and I would joke about how he kept my son calm during his very first haircut simply by singing that Barney song to him!!!

After that very first visit, my son would let me know when he needed to get back to the barber shop to see Mr. Deek!!

Deek will be missed by many, for he has truly left his mark. Yes, you will cry many tears, but always remember that although it's difficult today to see beyond your sorrow, may looking back in memories help comfort you tomorrow.

Rest in peace Deek!

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Charles Jackson. My uncle Silas Buggs affectionally called him by the name "Deek" therefore, that's what we all called him all of our lives. Deek was a kind & caring individual. We shared a lot of laughs with him over the years while visiting the Barber Shop. He will be truly missed. My prayers are with you.

Wanted to express my sympathy to your family. I have known Harriet since our days at North Carolina A&T and recall both Mr. & Mrs. Jackson seeing us going off to school on many occasions. All of you were truly blessed to have wonderful parents. I last saw your father several months ago at the front gate and waved at him. You can be assured your parents left a legacy in our beloved Charleston. God Bless

TO THE ENTIRE FAMILIES THAT LOVED (TEE-TEE) BKA PAPA CHARLES; THE LAST HOURS THAT I SPENT WITH POP, WAS DEAR TO ME,AND DEAR TO MY HEART, IT WAS JUST LIKE I WAS HOLDING ON TO A STRING OF PEARLS NEVER WANTING TO LET GO.. BUT AS THEY FELL ONE, BY ONE I COUNTED THEM OVER AND OVER, EVERY ONE UNTIL THEY FELL APART. I KNOW THAT HE IS IN A VETTER PLACE, WHERE THERE IS NO SICKNESS, NO SORROW, NO PAIN, AND NO TOMORROW. EVERYDAY IS JUST LIKE SUNDAY MORNING WHERE, HE WOULD BEGIN PRAISING THE LORD ALL THE DAY LONG. I CANT WAIT UNTIL I SEE YOU IN THE END,( PAPA CHARLES). LOVE, ATHAVIA SIMMONS
