Charles you might have never met me but I am you Great Grandson. Your wife has held my sister Kathryn. You are on my Moms side of the family Emily. All I have to say is I hope you Rest in Piece and you you dance with Angles, I will miss you.

The Hanna's were dear friends of my parents, Martha B. and Cooper Cecil. I am saddened to learn of their deaths. Special memories abound as I think back on those good old Spartanburg days. I hope that the concern of others comforts you.

Dr. Hanna was a man of integrity, talent, and compassion. His life on earth was full and complete. God be with the family and countless friends.

I appreciate all Dr. Hanna did for me during my training as a Surgery Resident 1975-1981.I learned so much from Him and I am saddened to hear of His passing.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Hanna. He truely was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing. He ALWAYS had a smile and warm greeting on his face everytime I would see him. I remember the days as a child visiting my Dad and Dr. Hanna at thier office, back when it was only H & H, and then thru the time of "The Four H" club. He was such a charming Dr. Gentleman. He will be missed by so many. May our GOD be with all the Family as you remember your Dad and Mother.

Dr. Hanna saved my life 46 years ago. I had intense stomach pain and my GP, Dr. Wallace sent me to General Hospital. Luckily Dr. Hanna was there. He felt my stomach and immediately diagnosed Intussusception of the Intestines, a very rare condition. The operation took 5 ½ hours. He carefully separated my large intestine from my small intestine. He could have just cut out the affected parts but he took the time to save the intestines of a 12 year old boy, one great doctor! I was very close to death. Gang green had set in and he took the time to treat the gang green and not just cut it out. 46 years later I have and engineering degree from Vanderbilt, 4 great kids, a wonderful wife, have built power plants all over the world and have a great life in Switzerland. I owe all of it to Dr. Hanna, his great skill, knowledge and patience. Thank you Dr. Hanna and rest in peace.

Prayers and condolences to this family. Heaven has gained a great and faithful man. Dr. Hanna was one of the greatest physician's ever along with his partner and friend, Dr. Hastings. Our area just don't have Dr.s like them anymore. I have witnessed these great men spend many hours at the bed side of there patient and experienced the greatest bed side manors any Dr. could ever deliver to there patients. Dr. Hanna was a very nice gentleman. I remember him when we were growing up - I was in the same class as Ricky in school. And I remember him when I worked at Spartanburg Regional for 11 years. Sorry for your loss.
