Stono River Golf Club expresses its sincere condolences to the family of "Eddie" Gillette. "Eddie" has been a member of the Stono River Golf Club for over 35 years. He has served on our Executive Board for several years in several capacities - Director, Administration, Publicity, Membership, and assisting the Match Committee running tournaments. As you can see, he has been a greatly valued member of our club, eager to help wherever needed. He will be greatly missed by us and all who knew him. Thanks, "Eddie", for giving us the opportunity to know you and for all the hard work you did for our club. Rest in Peace.

Eddie was the best neighbor and friend you could ask for. The neighborhood won't be the same without seeing him sitting in the sun or tending to his yard. He always smiled, waved and took the time to chat. He had such an easy way about him. He will be dearly missed. May loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strengh.
With deep condolences.

Eddie and I were friends growing up. We lost track of each other after high school but I´d run in to him occasionally. Eddie was always the same, a gentle sort of guy with a smile, glad to see me., always a kind word.
Heaven just received a good soul.

I remained in touch with Eddie after I left Belk, after he retired, and after he retired from working all together. Thanks to social media, we still remained in touch as he was the Gardner and a terrific cook! His smile was infectious and he showed interest in what you were talking about! He was sincere and gave his all in whatever he was doing! He absolutely loved his family!! He was a guy we all certainly are going to miss! Rest now Eddie, your mission is done!
