Charles Ellis, Sr. Mt. Pleasant - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one, Mr. Charles Ellis, Sr., 65, son of the late Deacon Willie and Mrs. Cora Lee Ellis Sr., on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He is survived by his sons, Charles Ellis, Jr. and Bernard Ellis; siblings: Hattie B. Singleton (Isaac), Patricia Washington (James, Sr.), James Ellis, Sr. (Theresa), Anthony Ellis, Moses Ellis, Sr. (Carolyn), Bernard Ellis and Sharon McNeal (Michael); one sister-in-law, Alice Ellis; aunts and uncles: Jerodene Ellis, Rosalee Ellis, Alfreda Gilbert (Elder Samuel), Florine Brown (Rev. Louis), Mildred Pinckney, Betty Ackerman, Wilhelmenia Greene and Milliard Ackerman, Sr. (Mildred), and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Willie Ellis, Jr. Public walk-through and a private service will be held later in February. Details pending.
