Dear Mrs. Christen,
I will miss Mr. Christen and his soft gentle smile.. He was truly a wonderful man..Just remember, You WILL be together again one day.. That is the most comforting promise. At least there is no more suffering and pain for him. I know you can't see him, but whisper his name in your heart, and he will be there...
GOD BLESS

The remaining crew members of the USS Phelps wish to express their deepest sympathy on the lost of Pat "Limey" Christen. He will certainly be missed at the ship's reunion this October. Personally, he was a dear true friend of mine and I will miss those phone calls with him very much. I loved him like a brother
