Charles Chandler Obituary

Charles David Chandler, Sr. FOLLY BEACH - Charles David Chandler, age 76, born January 1, 1940 in Piedmont, SC, died March 23rd at his home on Folly Beach, after a prolonged illness. He was the son of Charles Thurston Chandler and Leonta McAbee Chandler. He attended Greenville High School, graduating in 1957. He served four years in the Navy, as an airplane mechanic and electrician on the USS Champlaine, and later went to Clemson University and the Logan College of Chiropractic Medicine in 1966. He had a thriving Chiropractic practice in Greenwood SC; his patients would come from far and wide to be adjusted by him. He is survived by a brother, Dr. Joe Chandler of Lake Norman, NC; a loving son, Charles David Chandler, Jr.; and a loving wife, Glenda Camak Chandler. He was quick with a smile, had the quickest wit, and never met a stranger. He loved life to its fullest and he adored his son and wife. He enjoyed going to yard sales to meet new people, and backgammon was a favorite pastime. He will be sorely missed and there is a void that will never be filled, but at the very least, he suffers no longer. He will be cremated and his ashes spread in the Ocean that which he loved so very much. Visit our guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/ charleston
