Charles Casey JUPITER, FL - Charles "Chuck" Francis Casey, beloved family patriarch, passed away peacefully at his home in Jupiter, FL on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Chuck was the fourth child of James and Helen Reilly Casey. He was born in Burlington, Vermont on January 12, 1927 and spent his younger years in Glens Falls, NY before moving to Elmira, NY. Several additional moves followed, including Chattanooga, TN and Jupiter, FL. Chuck's personal and professional accomplishments were considerable and impressive. He attended Elmira Free Academy, where he was a standout basketball star aptly known as "White Lightning." After a stint in the Navy during WWII, he attended Upsala College on a basketball scholarship, graduating in 1950. Chuck began his career as a messenger with Thatcher Glass Company and was promoted through the years, attaining the position of Executive Vice-President. He then transitioned to Chattanooga Glass, a subsidiary of Dorsey Corporation, eventually becoming President and CEO of Dorsey, before joining Sewell Plastics, owned by Constar International. A year after joining Sewell Plastics, Chuck became Constar's Chairman and CEO. When Constar sold to Crown, Cork and Seal, he remained as a member of Crown Cork's board. He loved to golf, winning tournaments in Chattanooga at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club and The Honors Course, as well as at the Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter. A charitable and faithful benefactor, he contributed to many worthy causes throughout his life. More important to Chuck than any of his business or sports achievements was his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, known for his wise and practical advice, his love of laughter and a good joke, and his infinite patience. He was a loyal, protective, generous and supportive father. His best-kept secret was his ability to make each of his children believe that they were his favorite. Chuck lived a full life and we will forever miss his joyous, loving presence. Chuck was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 65 years, Marie Elaine Casey, his grandson, Maxwell Charles Casey, his parents, and siblings Jack, Don, Cecile, Helen and Mary. He is survived by his children, Christina (David) Petro, Charles (Ann) Casey, Susan (Paul) Dominick, Douglas (Angie) Casey, Thomas (Kevin Burris) Casey, and Anne Marie (Harry) McArthur; grandchildren Benjamin (Chris) and Jillian Petro, Holly, Maddie (Quentin Miller), John, Luke (Erica), Jason and Sarah Casey, Piper, Wyatt and Brock McArthur; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Jennings Petro; brother, James (Barbara) Casey and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in Chattanooga, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in honor of Chuck's memory be made to
