Fond memories of Mike as we both came from Fort Lauderdale. At the US Naval Academy Mike led a small band in the summer of 1963 as we marched in formation to lunch. We named it Mike's "salvation army band."

Mike was a pleasure to serve with at the Naval Academy Prep School and the Naval Academy. Great fun!

We miss having Mike with us down here in Charleston. Classmate and great friend to us all! He and Patti were a wonderful couple.

I met Mike while working at Haddrells point..he had such a good face, his smile was infectious! It was always so nice to see his smiling face. Thanks for the memories, it was so nice to see a couple such as yall. God bless!

Mike you came into my life and swept my heart away. The flame remained for our 32 years and it is still burning. I know now that the pain of losing you does not get easier but I know God's purpose is much greater than any here on earth. Always know how deeply I loved you and I will continue to miss you with each passing day. You are and always will be the sunshine of my life, the love of my life, my best friend. I love you always. Mike was known by all classes at the Academy and with all of his skills he will be most remembered for his part in the "Salvation Army Band".

Mike is a great friend and Naval Academy Classmate. His joyous smile and warm personality will live on with everyone he touched. I am greatful a few of us had the oppportunity to speak with him by telephone from Annapolis during our recent 45th. He still sounded like the same Mike we all knew, over 45 years ago, and was apologizing for not being able to celebrate with us. He will always be remembered, and live in the minds and hearts of all of us.

Mike was a wonderful friend to all throughout his time at the academy and after. I too am saddened with his passing but believe God must have been holding a special place for him in the celestial orchestra.

I knew Mike at the Academy. Wonderful friendly classmate.

Mike and I were roommates at USNA and while our paths crossed only several times after that - Viet Nam and San Diego - he will always have a special place in my heart. His great smile and sense of humor, his particularly honest way of looking at life and his consistent helping hand to friends made him the best of "life friends."
