The Kent County Retirees Association would like to express our condolence to Dave's family. Some of us either worked with or knew Dave through the county. He was a great guy and will surely be missed.

To Dave's Family;

I worked with your dad for several years before he retired, then ran in to him at Meijers all the time. What a wonderful person. He had such a good sense of humor, and Evie and Dave just complimented each other so much. My kids thought I was so important because I knew "Santa Claus". Rest in peace Dave, you will never be forgotten.

Jeff and Norma - Chuck and I will miss seeing him over at your house on the weekends. He was always so friendly. We would always comment on how much he looked like Santa Claus. The world has lost such a loving father and grandfather.

This message is for you Dave! I want you to know that you will always be in my heart & that no matter what I will never forget you! One day we will see eachother again. you are/were more than just a friend you my second Dad ok old man (your cue to laugh). I love you so much! I may have to let you go as a person but not the memories we share. You are not a loss not in life or death. There is so much life with you we go on. I wish that you did not have to go, but I know you are still here. I can't help, but to go over the same things actually I can since that was one of our things. Kylee called you -she said that you had to go to heaven she said you are silly Papa Dave she loves her Papa Dave. Darion asked if you were still his Bud/Bro & of course I said yes. Ok I will end this message. I love you until I see again, Love Amanda, Darion, & Kylee (your 2nd family) PS I'm still going to make that meal because that's what I'm talking about! Just remember summer cook outs won't be the same. I miss you so much now who's going to drive eachother nuts? Ok I'm done for real for now. R u laughing yet?

Mark and Jeff,

I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of stopping by your dad's house in between Houseman Field and Central. We lost our mom a few months ago, she was the same age as your dad, so I know some of what you're going through. It's a hard thing to lose a parent. I'll be praying for comfort and grace as you go through this difficult time.

Dear Family: I loved my Uncle David very much and always enjoyed his company. When he married my Aunt Evie it was the most beautiful wedding I had ever attended. I have missed her
just tons and now David. The Lord Bless all of you and you are in our prayers. Love Rosie & George Greene.
