Charles Berry Obituary

BERRY, SR., Charles REEVESVILLE - Charles Derrell Berry, Sr. 74, of 563 Friendship Road, Reevesville, husband of Doris M. Berry died Saturday, November 03, 2007 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Old St. George Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverends Tim Marcengill and Tom Lewis Doyle officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tom Lewis Bubba Doyle, Jr., Bradley Berry, David Berry, Jimmy Skeeter Mitchum, Francis Mitchum, Chris Berry. Mr. Berry was born on December 15, 1932 in Reevesville a son of Willie Clyde Berry, Sr. and Carrie Lee Hutto Berry. He was a retired mechanic with Carolina Girlswear and a member of Old St. George Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was predeceased by siblings Willie Clyde Berry, Jr. and Martha Ann Parker. Surviving are his wife, Doris Mitchum Berry, of the home; four sons, Charles D. Chuck (Pam) Berry, St. George, Ned Wayne Berry, Jerry Ronald Berry and Timothy Eugene Berry, all of Reevesville; two sisters, Mary Sis (Reverend Tom) Doyle, St. Matthews and Helen Clayton, Summerville; grandchildren, Chris Bradley, Lisa, JoJo Ronald Berry and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Old St. George Baptist Church, 509 Old St. George Road, St. George, SC 29477 or Hearland Hospice Services, 3 Southpark Circle, Suite 280, Charleston, SC 29407. Ms.Doris Ned, Chuck,Jerry and Tim, Your Dad was one of the best men that God put on this earth and I know that each one of you will truley miss him but as we all know you will be together again. Let there be comfort in knowing that he is now with God, No more suffering, Just peace.
If there is anything that we can do please just let us know.

Doris and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about Charles. My prayers are with yall. I always loved talking to Charles. He was so calm and cool.
I stopped by Mr. and Ms. Mitchum a couple of weeks ago and we were talking about yall. I asked how every one was doing and how Charles was. Also that i run in to Ned from time to time.

I miss seeing you all and again I'm very sorry for your loss.
