Charles Barrington Obituary

As the Director of Community Engagement for Charleston Animal Society I speak on behalf of the staff and animals in our care. We are eternally grateful for your choice to honor Charlie by asking for donations in his name to our shelter. I met Charlie in 1998 when I started at Nucor Steel. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with him until 2017. He was always kind and knowledgeable person. A man who had a new story everyday about his beloved family. Charlie will be greatly missed and I appreciated the years we were friends. Our condolences to Lisa, Austin, Julia and all of your family.

I am very sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Man I hate seeing this. He was a awesome co worker that will truly be missed. I loved talking with him about Costa Rica and his vacations he would take. It just goes to show how spending time with family and friends is very important for the mind, body, and soul. It doesn't need to be taken for granted because you never know how much time you will have and what God has in store for you and your time on this planet. Rest in peace Charlie.

My heartfelt prayers go out to all of your family in this difficult time. Charlie was a dear friend in High school and into college. All my memories of him make me smile because he was so full of life and lived it that way. May his memory be eternal.

Lisa, Austin and Julia, we are so very saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. The world lost one of the good ones. Our entire family is comforted remembering our days on the soccer fields with all four of you, and I hope you too will soon be comforted by the warm memories you all made together. Charlie has been in our prayers all along and will continue to be.

My dear friend, I will miss you. We may not have talked often, we may not have seen each other for months, or years but you were and always be my friend. Julia, Austin and Lisa,
I am so sorry. Charlie was such a wonderful family man. I loved his infectious smile and fun-loving ways. He was always so kind to Amy Grace back in those childhood days. May memories of good times bring you comfort in the coming days, months and years.

We choose "family" as our relationship to Charlie as he truly made us feel that way. Thank you Charlie for giving Sarah a second home (physically and emotionally) for 8 years. Words can not express how much you will missed, nor how much your memory will be cherished! Love to you, Lisa, Austin and Julia always!
