Mary Burress Obituary

Mary Archie Burress, 91, of Campbellsville, died at 11:05 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, in Louisville, Ky.
Daughter of the late Johnny Bob Witham and Maggie Mae Reeder Witham, she was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Russell County, Ky.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She was married to Leroy Walton "Shorty" Burress. He preceded her in death in 1975.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Witham and his wife, Betty Joyce, of Campbellsville and Jimmy Burress and his wife, Susan, of Owenton, Ky.; four grandchildren, Lela Kay Scott and her husband, Kenny, Debbie Bailey and her husband, Tim, and Derick Witham and his wife, Christy, all of Campbellsville, and Scott Burress of Louisville; three step-grandchildren, Shara Whitley of Campbellsville, Becky Lockhart and her husband, Dana, of Buffalo, S.D., and Melissa Hunter and her husband, Jesse, of Louisville; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Kemp, Megan Kemp, Abbey Witham, Kailey Witham and Ethan Bailey; three step-great-grandchildren, McCall Hunter, Asher Hunter and Beatrice Lockhart; a sister, Nellie Bowen of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Witham; and two sisters, Edna Colvin and Winnie Parson.
Funeral was Thursday, Aug. 8, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Alan Witham officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
