Charlene Brinson Obituary

Charlene Mitchum Brinson BONNEAU, SC - Charlene Mitchum Brinson, 69, of Bonneau, SC, a former employee of the Berkeley Motel & Restaurant, died Tuesday morning in a North Charleston hospital. Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday afternoon, July 11, 2014, in the Bonneau Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Bonneau Baptist Cemetery, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the CHURCH from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Thursday evening. Mrs. Brinson was born April 19, 1945, in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of Willie "Bill" Mitchum and Ruby Lee Mitchum Mitchum. She was a member of the Bonneau Pentecostal Holiness Church and loved spending time with her friends and family. Mrs. Brinson enjoyed baking cakes, cooking, reading, and gardening. She was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Mitchum. Surviving are, her husband, Rennie L. Brinson; two sons, Rob Brinson and his fiance;e, Michelle Swoyer, and Billy Brinson, all of Bonneau; four sisters, Jean Brown of Turbeville, Willie Kay Mitchum of Goose Creek, Donna M. Thomas of Cordesville, and Elaine Jackson of Moncks Corner; and three grandchildren, Alivia Brinson, Corey Swoyer, and Brett Swoyer.
