Cecil Goodyear Obituary

Peggy and family,

Really sorry to hear about the passing of Cecil. Just want to offer my condolences during this time of sorrow. I will always think of him when he would come over to see us at 63 East Surrey Drive. I sure will miss him but he will always be in my thoughts and in my heart.

Cecil was a true Southern gentleman. He always treated everyone with kindness!!

Heaven has gained another angel. Forever grandpappy will be missed until we meet again. Many years of love and laughter that will never be forgotten.

Although I have grown older, as a boy I remember the kindness that this man had shown to myself and my brother and sisters. I will always remember that kindness. Rest in peace mr. Good Year and thank you

I was saddened this morning when I opened my paper and saw sweet Mr. Goodyear smiling up from the obituary section. I was the pharmacist at the Goose Creek KMart pharmacy from 1988 until they closed. He (and his wife) were always a pleasure to see and deal with. He always had a big smile or joke or story for you and if there was ever a problem, he always took it in stride. I know he will be missed and I will always remember him fondly. Praying for comfort for his family, Cassie DeVeaux Henry

I was deeply saddened today when I saw Mr. Goodyear's obituary. I was the pharmacist at the Goose Creek K-mart on St. James Ave many moons ago. I was there from around 1988 until they moved to North Charleston. He and his wife were always an absolute delight to deal with and he always had a big smile or joke or story to tell. I can tell from his obituary that he had a great life . I know he will be missed and I will always remember him fondly. Peace and comfort to all of you, Cassie DeVeaux Henry.

Words can't express the sadness I feel. Mr. Cecil would make me laugh, even when I was not in a laughing mood. I'll miss talking with Mr. Cecil as Taco walked him. I'll keep the family in my prayers.

Aunt Peggy I am so sorry for you and your children's loss. I love Uncle Cecil and always will? I looked forward to seeing Uncle Cecil when He was in the store.

To a great man, who will be missed by so many who loved him of which I am one. Always appreciated his kindness and his great sense of humor and how he always could make you feel better about everything. God needed another angel like that in heaven, they are lucky and so were we all to have known him and loved him and for him to be in our lives. See you someday Mr. Goodyear and keep on smiling on us all.

My wonderful dad, Oh how I will miss your sweet handsome face. How will I live with out your guidance and direction. I love you and miss you more than anyone will ever know. I can't wait to see you again and feel your arms around me again. You are out of pain now and that is such a relief for me. You were the best dad in the world!! No one can hold a candle to you!
