Cecelia Henderson Obituary

Cecelia Mary Henderson HANAHAN - Cecelia Mary (Mellina) Henderson, 83, entered into eternal rest on May 11, 2010. Cecelia Mary Henderson was born on February 23, 1927, in Galveston, Texas. She is the daughter of John Joseph and Ada E. Mellina of Galveston, Texas. Mrs. Henderson graduated from Hanahan High School in Berkeley County. During World War II, Mrs. Henderson worked as a Cryptographic Service Provider in Fort Crocket, Texas. On May 1, 1945, Cecelia Mary Mellina entered into Holy Matrimony with Marshall Nathan Henderson in Galveston, Texas. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Marshall Nathan Henderson and John Mellina Henderson; five grandchildren, John, Joseph, Walter, Wesley, and Zachary Henderson; and four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Joseph, Sean, and Samantha. She has a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at Carolina Memorial Chapel in North Charleston, SC. Funeral arrangements will be held at the same location. In lieu of flowers or card, please make donations to Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Funeral will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 14, 2010, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
