Cathy Woolard Obituary


WOOLARD, Cathy WALTERBORO Mrs. Cathy Crosby Woolard, age 50, of 8640 Carbella Circle, Myrtle Beach, left this world to embrace eternal life this past Sunday morning, March 18, 2007, at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center in New York. The oldest child of Mr. Isaiah Crosby and Mrs. Annie Ruth Bailey Crosby, she was born May 23, 1956, in Walterboro, South Carolina. She was devoted to her family life and will always be remembered for helping those around her. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Walterboro. For 20 years, she worked for her father's business in Walterboro, Wildwood Landscape, Inc. In addition to her parents of Walterboro, Cathy will be missed by her husband Mr. Michael Allen Woolard; and her children whom she adored, Jennifer Mixson Bishop of Monroe, North Carolina, and Michael Logan Woolard of Myrtle Beach; and a step-daughter; Lisa Nicole Woolard of Washington, North Carolina; her grandfather, J. Mouzon Smoak of Round O; as well as her siblings, William Jerry Crosby of Walterboro and Ann Crosby Knight of Beaufort. She will remain in the heart of her only grandson, Bryson Reid Bishop of Monroe, North Carolina; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cathy touched many lives during her short lifetime. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a service of celebration for her life, four o'clock Wednesday afternoon, March 21, 2007, at the graveside in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro with The Reverend Glen Davis officiating. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Crosby, located at 315 Hayne Street in Walterboro. Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to help find a cure for cancer, Colleton County Relay for Life, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406. Family and friends are invited to call from 6:00 until 8:00 this Tuesday evening at THE BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOMES, WALTERBORO CHAPEL, 1193 Bells Highway, Walterboro, 843.538.5408.
