Cathy Kearise Obituary

My heart is heavy this morning as I am reading this. My sincerest condolences to her beloved family. Ms Cathy was a ray of sunshine. Always smiling in the Hal’s at THS and MMS. She truly cared for the students. RIP Ms Cathy. Your THS family will carry your torch.

I was absolutely heartbroken to hear of the passing of such a sweet spirit. She would often stop at my table at THS to chat and we were building quite the friendship. Such a beautiful, warm personality. I will miss her dearly. Heaven has truly gained an angel. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Rarely do I find myself at a loss for words, but this is one of those moment. I will always remember your soft voice and bright eyes when you were asking a question or became excited about something. So, I will just say Farewell. I believe when you got home the bells were ringing and the Angels were singing "Welcome Home!" Love You!!!

Cathy was my coworker at THS and I am so sad to hear the news of her passing. She was always kind and friendly and fun to work with. I know she dedicated her life to serving young people and she made a big difference! To her family, you have my deepest sympathies.

I originally met Ms. Kearise as a child through my mom and her being colleagues. This year was our full circle moment as WE became colleagues. I will truly miss walking by her office and catching a smile and a “Hey Alaysha..oops, Ms. Rogers”. Heaven has truly gained an angel! I am praying for her family and loved ones! Rest in peace, Ms. Kearise.

I enjoyed working with Cathy at BCDO until I moved to TN. Cathy always had a smile on her face and kept the day full of laughter. Cathy was a beautiful person inside and out! She will truly be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her!

I am honestly at a loss for words. Cathy I will truly miss talking to and seeing you when we made our trips down from Baltimore. We used to have so much fun. I will never forget our cookout we had or when you made Rob drive across the Radnow bridge. He fussed all the way across that bridge. He still talks about that lol. My prayers are with Cathy’s family and friends. Cathy and I shared car rides together while in grad school at The Citadel. We also shared time together working at Macedonia Middle. I will miss her smiles, laughter, and friendship.

I used to know Cathy due to her father and my father knowing each other for years and I was proud to have known her for as long as I have and it breaks my heart that she is gone. She always put a smile on someone's face by her smiling. I will always remember that and miss it also.

Someone just told me of Cathy's passing. I worked with her at THS as a business teacher also. Our rooms were side-by-side. In addition, she was in the small group of teachers who worked with the pupils in FBLA there.

She was a VERY nice and pleasant gal and super to work with. She will be missed by all who knew her including students.
