Cathey we worked hard together in London and had such an interesting and great time bringing this great city alive for the Kensington and Chelsea Women´s´ Club. Loved our time cooperating together. Thank you. Love

It was a shock to discover today that Cathey had passed away. We worked together as trustees of Sulgrave Manor, but also knew one another through Garden Square News magazine and the Kensington Society. She was always great company, and her deep knowledge of history made her very useful. I will certainly miss her.

Heard today, 23 January, that Cathey had died. I have such fond memories of working with her and for her through KCWC. As a London Blue Badge guide we devised, with strong in put from Cathey, of course, a whole range of visits including the history of London spread over two terms which we repeated many times. So awed by her driven enthusiasm and enjoyment of everything she got involved with. Privilege to have worked along side her. Shall always remember her. Caroline

So many happy memories with Cathey in London, such a special friend --- I am drinking from the John Stuart Mill teacup she gave me 10 years ago. I have treasured it. She will be sorely missed.

David and I send our heartfelt condolences to Joe, their daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren following their loss of Cathey.
I came to know Cathey in 2003 and when she became President of KCWC, I joined the Board. I was so impressed with her diversity of talents and interests, as well as with her determination to achieve the objectives she set for herself, (including publishing a book) combined with a sincere and friendly nature. Both David and I were lucky enough to be recipients of Cathey and Joe's hospitality in many forms, including a very memorable sailing trip in the Mediterranean.
She will be sorely missed not only by her family but also by her friends who held her in high esteem. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time of sorrow and we regret that Cathey's bright star did not burn long enough. May she rest in peace.

A rare and special person who has gone far too soon. Cathey will be greatly missed by so many whose hearts she touched - but never forgotten. She shone a light on her time in London. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family.

I was so privileged to have met Cathey shortly after moving to London. She was a delightful person, so full of energy and enthusiasm for everything she turned to. We were all sad when she moved from London but loved following along on her "not a blog" descriptions of the sailing trips. I will cherish the memories of the time spent with her. Sending heartfelt sympathy to the family and those who were close to her.

I have many fond memories of learning British History and spending time with Cathey in London. She was a very special person who absolutely adored her grandchildren.

John and I send our sincere condolences to Joe and their daughters at the sad passing of a remarkable woman. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Cathey could not fail to be impressed by her intellect, her zeal for knowledge, her phenomenal memory and her zest for life. She will always remain in my memory as a respected colleague and friend. God speed to her soul and May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
