Catherine "Cathy" Hill ST. GEORGE, SC - Catherine "Cathy" Westbury Hill, wife of Dr. Ed Hill, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 10, 2023. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at St. George United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. Cathy was born on October 13, 1951 in Orangeburg, a daughter of Catherine Byrd Westbury and the late Larry D. Westbury. She was a graduate of St. George High School as the class Valedictorian and a graduate of MUSC College of Nursing. She started her nursing career at MUSC, 20 plus years with Home Health, and retired as a school nurse. She was a member of St. George United Methodist Church, where she served on numerous boards, sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed the lake, reading, puzzles but most importantly spending time and loving on her grandchildren. Cathy was generous to all and would lend a helping a hand to anyone in need. Surviving is her husband, Dr. Ed W. Hill, Jr.; daughters, Amy (Todd) Ackerman, all of St. George and Pamie (Jim) White, James Island; a son, Chip (Sandy) Hill, Daniel Island; her mother, Catherine "Bubba" Westbury; grandchildren, Madison, Caleb, and Walker Ulmer, Zan and Jackson White, Doscher Hill, Kaitlin (Brandon) Lane and Callie Ackerman; great grandson, Kentley Lane; sisters, Marlene Banner and Luanne (Phil) Mauney; numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
