Catherine Guerry Obituary

GUERRY, Catherine Entered into eternal rest on December 25, 2004, Catherine Schweers Guerry of Mount Pleasant. The relatives and friends of Catherine Schweers Guerry are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday afternoon, December 28, 2004 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 1:00 o'clock. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL Monday evening from six until eight o'clock. Mrs. Guerry was born August 15, 1925 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Heinrich Deidrich Schweers and Ruth Buck Schweers. She was a member of the first class at Charleston Day School, graduated from Moultrie High School and Sullins College In Bristol, Virginia. She was a founding member of the Mount Pleasant Cotillion, and a member of the Mount Pleasant Yacht Club and the Exchange Club of Charleston Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Guerry is survived by one daughter, Catherine C. Guerry of Mount Pleasant; one son, John E. Rett Guerry III and his wife Deborah of Mount Pleasant; one granddaughter, P. Caroline Guerry of Mount Pleasant; one sister-in-law, Ruby H Schweers of Mount Pleasant, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry D. Schweers, Jr..
