Catherine brought her contagious smile with her at all times. We met when my children were young and she was doing book fairs in schools, then again in yoga at the Mt. Pleasant Senior Center. Despite her cancer she enthusiastically shared her passion for reading and concerns for all "our" children. Her loss is a great one.

Sara, Alex, Marsh, Richard: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Yes, it's a sad time but Cathy is no longer suffering. We all have our special memories of her which are precious. She's a great example for us all.

Beautiful messages written this week about Cousin Catherine. She was passionate about her outdoor activities, independence, her children, and her love for her grandson. There were warm photos of him nearby her in Spring and Summer visits. Take care family - with love, Karen

Catherine was one of those people that you meet, and never forget! I genuinely admired her positive energy and upbeat personality ; always laughing and smiling. She was a beautiful example of how the rest of us should strive to live. I'm sure she will be missed by all that knew her! Love to the family during this difficult time.

Ms. Abrams was a joy to know. She brought so much energy and enthusiasm to our school. She was always willing to extend a helping hand and made even the most menial tasks sound like fun. Her passion for education and commitment to youth were evident every day I had the pleasure of knowing her. Wishing you all peace and healing. She will be greatly missed.

I admired and loved Catherine for her feistiness, her spirit and her passionate commitment to causes she believed in deeply. I know she struggled to overcome many difficulties. I am heartbroken right now.

Catherine's mother was my sister. Catherine's illness and death is very much in the thoughts of all. Her presence in the lives of all of her family has always been important. Our thoughts are with Sara,Alex,Marshall and Richard.

Catherine you were a great lady who was always helping others and always upbeat about everything in life! Although I only knew you for a few short years since I moved into the neighborhood, I felt a closeness and bond with you, and looked forward to seeing you every time I came into town. You will be missed!

We are so very sorry to hear of Catherine's passing. We loved having her with us at family get-togethers. She was so much fun and a beautiful lady. Much love to you all.

Catherine and I tutored together in the Reading Partners program at Burns. She was a generous, enthusiastic, caring and dedicated tutor. Now I know that she was brave as well. This is a terrible loss. My sincere sympathy to her friends, family and the many lives that she touched.

What an energetic, fun, enthusiastic, always smiling, love for children, kind, sweet gal that I'm so honored to have known. Catherine subbed at Trident Academy for years and was always so excited to be at our school. I'm so shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
