Casey Pinckney Obituary

PINCKNEY, JR., Casey NEW YORK - Casey Lee Pinckney, Jr., 60, of New York, died April 7, 2006. The funeral will be on Thursday, April 13, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Zion AME Church, Round O. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Pinckney was born in Round O, a son of the late Casey and Ethel Pinckney. He attended the public schools in Colleton County. Survivors are: children, Arlene, Bryant and Timmy of New York City, NY; sisters, Mable Grant, Julia Griffin and Maggie Pinckney of Walterboro and Louberta Pinckney of New York City, NY; a brother, Alexander Pinckney of Brownsmill, NJ; and an aunt, Alice Campbell of Round O. Uncle Casey Lee had great taste in music, and I loved it when he visited us in South Carolina for the holidays. We would ride around in that blue van, listening to music while he smoked cigarettes and drank Pepsi with peanuts in it. I miss those days and I miss him.

Casey entered my life when I needed a friend.That was December 26,1992. Since then the friendship grew. I then realized he was my soul mate. We had our up's and down's like any couple. But we truly loved each other. I will ALWAYS LOVE HIM
