Sis Childs,
I was so sadden to hear the news of Rev. Childs death. He was so dear to our hearts. I remember when my mom had open heart surgery, Rev. Childs was right there to give her God's word and to encourage her. He always believed in me and my boys and encouraged us to never give up and stay on the Battle Field for the Lord. I can hear him singing it now. Truly Rev Childs stayed on the Battle Field. For he was a solider for Christ! His faith never waivered.
My children and I were blessed to have you both cross our paths and lead us while at Bethel AME (Anderson). Sis Childs I will keep you and your family in my prayers. May God continue to comfort and strengthen you. Know that our loss is Heaven's gain. With deepest sympathy.

It was such a blessing to have had the Rev. Casey J. Childs II as a pastor. He was the type of pastor that took the time to get to know each of his members by name. Childs was truly a blessing to My Greater Zion AME Church Family, and we will never forget him or the many seeds that he planted in the church. Dear Mrs. Childs & Family,
You are in our prayers. We remember this year in April when Rev. Casey was asked to bring the Church's anniversary sermon. He gave his word that he would preach the sermon. He had gone to Oklahoma to attend a funeral service. He and Mrs. Childs drove from Oklahoma to St. Peters, Wando to preach. He was very committed and honorable.
We will always remember him and for what
he stood.
