Cary Tyrone Mosier Charleston - Cary Tyrone "Ty" Mosier, 57, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was born on October 29, 1960, in Mansfield, OH, son of Judith Ashford Theisen and the late Ron Mosier. Ty grew up in Mansfield, OH. He served 20 years in the United States Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts degree. He retired from SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic, after many years. Ty had many passions...riding motorcycles, golfing, boating, traveling, music, and watching Ohio football and NASCAR races with his friends at "The Shack". He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs, Brinkley and Otis. Besides his father, Ron Mosier, he is predeceased by his grandparents, Charles and Pauline Ashford; and his infant son, Benjamin Reid Mosier. Ty will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Michele Page Mosier of Charleston, SC; two sons: Austin Mosier (Melissa) of Columbia, SC, and Tucker Mosier of Summerville, SC; his stepdaughter, Jennifer Jones (Jeromy) of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren: Amelia, William and Theodore Mosier, and Jenna Jones; his mother, Judith Theisen (Paul) of Summerville, SC; his sister, Lisa Beilstein (Steve) of Ohio; two brothers, Todd Mosier of Summerville, SC, and Jeff Mosier of Ohio; his aunt, Nancy Vadakin; his uncle, Chuck Ashford; nephews, Ryan, Andrew, Grant and Benjamin; nieces, Megan and Vanessa; great-nephews, Mason and Easton; and his stepmother, Becky Mosier; and many special cousins. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 18, 2017, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel, with the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
