Thank God for the life of Carolyn Lawton
She is our mother's cousin, but we were taught to honor her and address her as an aunt. I don't remember exactly what year, but it was 1960's we meet her when she lived next to us in Rose Lane. She was not only a cousin to our mother, also a friend.
She was always pleasant, smiling and happy and see the good in others. She was hardworking dedicated to her husband Jimmy and her children. I would hear her calling them in for dinner, the role call Mammy, Cheryl, Wannie, Wimpie, everybody come to the table, and it is family time.
I remember there were tough times for many families, but you never knew it if you talked with aunt Nor. She always said thank God in all things. Amen
She will always be remembered by our family.
Whenever I visited Charleston, I would make a visit to her home she would asks about my children and family and always encouraged me,
We will always remember her, her words of wisdom and her example, Proverbs 31 says
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
We will continue to pray for the family,
Love and Prayers ,
