A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd., Charleston. The Rite of Committal will take place that afternoon at Beaufort National Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Tuesday at the James A. She also loved having her family and extended family over for dinners and cookouts throughout the year. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, James, and her daughter, Cathy Heider Guffey. She is survived by her sons, Michael Heider and Kenneth Heider (Eileen); three grandchildren: Kendall Heider Crosby (Chris), Kyle Heider, and Jeremiah Guffey; and two great-grandchildren, Amilie "Millie" Crosby and Christopher "Chrisser" Crosby.
