Carolyn Fleenor Obituary

Carolyn Fleenor SUMMERVILLE - Carolyn Fleenor, 67, of Summerville, the widow of Philip R. Fleenor, died Monday, January 4, 2010, at a local hospital. Born February 7, 1942, in Greenville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late George Parker and Pansy Mable Pittman Parker. Carolyn retired from Super K-Mart on Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her two daughters: Peggy Levangie and her husband John and Teresa Staires all of Summerville; three grandchildren: Reggie Staires, Rebecca Levangie and Dean Waltz all of Summerville; three sisters: Christine Craft, Pat McClellan and Mildred Skipper all of Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. Entombment will follow at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Old Hwy 52, Moncks Corner. Condolences may be sent to the Fleenor family via www.mcalister-smith.com.
