Caroline Ramsey Obituary

I often think of Caroline and remember what a good person and friend she was. May she Rest In Peace.

May she rest in peace. I remember her as a wonderful young mother. She delighted in her children and gardening. I'm so sorry she left us too soon.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the soul of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

I am sorry to hear Ms. Ramsey is gone, I was a student of hers in 2009/2010, I took her for English 1101, and enjoyed her class so much I took English 1102 the next semester with her again. She was such and unbelievably energetic and nice person. She made English fun and introduced me to UGA. Her smile and creativity were amazing. So many people in both of those classes loved her so much, she was a treasure to the school, and to life in general.

I don't know what to say. Mrs. Ramsey was my first ever college professor. I am now in my sophomore year and I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Her spunk and excitement about teaching us english was contagious, and made the 9am class far more bearable. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for her. My heart goes out to your family. My prayers are with you all in this difficult time. I consider myself lucky to have had her as a teacher, even if it was for such a short time. I thought the world of her. God bless you all.

Dear Cindy, Bart and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Caroline's passing. I remember how welcoming she was to me as a new student at Porter-Gaud, and how warm, funny and insightful she was when I had the opportunity to lead a small group for underclassmen with her our senior year. I pray that in this time of grief, the Lord may lift you up and provide you with strength and peace.

I met Caroline when I first came to UGA for grad school in 2008--we were teaching apprentices together, and along with a third TA named Caroline we were known to the students as "the Carolines." That fall she graciously included me and several other classmates with no Thanksgiving plans in her own family's celebration; it was a lovely night. I knew her as a warm, funny, and absolutely brilliant person--I can't imagine how devastating this loss must be to the close loved ones in her life. I know I will always remember the light she radiated.

Caroline will be deeply missed by her many friends, students, and colleagues in the UGA English Department. She was a beautiful writer and teacher who touched so many of us with her generous, vibrant spirit. It was a gift to work with her. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Bart & Cindy. I am at a loss for words. I cannot even comprehend what y'all have to deal with. I have a knot in m throat as I write this but my sincere hope is that as the years go by you can look at that painting of her on the beach and hopefully it will take away some of your grief.

I know the pain is great, as Caroline's exuberance had great effect. We wish it could stick around in the beautiful form that we knew and loved. We miss her and love her. May the value of her life bless her children as they grow. We love them and lift them at this time.

Bart, Cindy, Francie and the entire family..... words can not express how fortunate I am to have know Caroline. So many countless childhood memories to look back on..... dance recitals were especially fun! And she would always calm my nerves before....
She really was a special and remarkable young lady. I'm away this weekend at an AA retreat. I look at it as not just something for myself but a loving tribute to my friend..... who is now at peace in God's hands.
