Caroline Hamrick Baker Charleston, SC - Caroline Hamrick Baker, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 28, 2022. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 11, 2022 at Stuhr's Funeral Home, West Ashley Chapel. Family will receive visitors prior to service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A private burial will be held at Live Oak Cemetery, arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Caroline was born September 10, 1935 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Mattie Lane Milstead of Kingstree, SC. She was a 1953 graduate of Charleston High School, and a graduate of Rice Business College. Caroline joined her first spouse, the late Sondley L. Hamrick, in the real estate and insurance business. Caroline was a member of the Elks Club Does. Caroline was predeceased by her spouses, Sondley L. Hamrick (1995), Alva Alsbrooks, Jr. (2002), and Sherman E. "Sam" Baker (2022). Caroline is survived by her daughter, Daisy C. Hamrick and son, Sondley L. Hamrick, Jr. (Joanne), both of Charleston, SC, her grandchildren Sondley Hamrick III, Judith Hamrick, Eleanor Bleecker-Kay (Rob) and several cousins.
