Carol Spanninger Obituary

Carol Ann Spanninger Summerville - Carol Ann Spanninger, 82, wife of Robert "Bob" Louis Spanninger, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Summerville Medical Center. Carol was born on August 8, 1939 in Sellersville, PA, daughter of the late Elwood and Evelyn Stull Detwiler. She was an avid reader and member of several book clubs. She was the love of Mr. Bob's life. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Bob, are: a daughter, Kelly Spanninger, and partner, Joyce, of Pittsburg, PA, grandson, Nathan, and granddaughter, Jocelyn, and son, Robert Sean Spanninger of St. Augustine, FL; Dennis Detweiler and wife, Wanda, of Perkasie, PA. In addition to her late parents, she was predeceased by, two brothers: Guy Detweiler and John Detweiler. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www.jamesadyal.com. Carol was my cousin but when we were growing up she was more like an older sister. My parents included her on summer trips and we had great times together. The family won't be the same without her. RIP
