Carol June North Navarro SUMMERVILLE - Carol June North Navarro joined her Savior on Saturday afternoon, 8 October 2016, after a two month battle in Trident Hospital and Health South Rehab Hospital, N. Charleston, SC. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 9 o'clock AM at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Avenue, Summerville. Private inurnment will be held at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 1/2 years, Ernest (Ernie) L. Navarro of Summerville, SC, daughter Tammy Navarro Owens of Hendersonville, NC, son Robert Navarro of Cary, NC, daughter Kelly Carey (Brian) and eight grandchildren: Lee Owens, Aaron Owens, Devon Navarro, Joseph Navarro (Shannon), Haley Navarro, Carol Wright, Nicole Mullis (Andy) and Timothy Wright (Terri), her sister, Peggy Rogers (Terry) of Zeeland, MI, brothers Bill North of Hanahan, SC, Dale North (Heidi) of Redding, CA and Jamie North of Naples, FL. Carol and Ernie met when both were in the Navy in Memphis, TN and were married there. She traveled with him to duty stations all over the U.S. and Italy for 21 of the 23 yrs he was with the Submarine Service, with oldest daughter (Tammy) born while in Millington, TN and their son (Robert) and youngest daughter (Kelly) in Hawaii. They enjoyed many fond memories together of travels and adventures including Germany, Austria and France while living in Sardinia, Italy for three years. She was preceded in death by her sister (Dona Nagel), mother and father (Ed and Juanita North) and her many aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank all our relatives and friends for their thoughts and prayers preceding her death and continued prayers afterwards for the family.
