Carla Wright Obituary

Carla Yvette Lewis Wright, 51, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday night, August 22, 2025, in a local hospital, surrounded by love. Her passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who knew her, but her memory will continue to shine through the lives she touched. Born in Charleston, SC, Carla was the cherished daughter of Brenda Eade Lewis and the late William Sydney Lewis. She was a woman of faith, attending Chapparel Freewill Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith, and she lived her life with grace, generosity, and devotion to her family. Carla found joy in the simple pleasures-cooking for her loved ones, spending time outdoors, and soaking in the peace of the beach. Her greatest happiness came from being with her family, especially her beloved grandson, Weston Zachary Grooms, whose presence lit up her world. She is survived by her devoted husband of 22 years, Floyd M. Wilson, Jr.; her daughter, Kayla Clara Wright of Moncks Corner; her mother, Brenda Eade Lewis of Moncks Corner; her stepson, Andrew James Wilson of St. Stephen; her sisters, Cynthia Geithmann (Jason) and Jennifer Kelly (Steven), both of Moncks Corner; her brother, William C. Lewis (Christel) of Moncks Corner; and her grandson, Weston Zachary Grooms. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Floyd M. Wilson III. Carla's life will be honored in a service to be announced by Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Flowers are welcome, and memorial contributions may be made to Dial-Murray Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. Carla will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
