Carl Dean Mullinax, Sr.
Mt. Pleasant - Carl Dean Mullinax Sr., age 89, passed away on February 20, 2026. He was born April 21, 1936, in Charleston, South Carolina.
He was a graduate of Saint Andrew's High School (Class of 1954) and Baptist College (1974). He proudly served in the United States Army during the post-Korean War era.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chalmas Mullinax Sr. and Mittie Ellen (Armstrong) Mullinax Sr.; and his siblings, Chalmas Mullinax, Wilson Mullinax, Curt Mullinax, Lila Watters, and Mary Rumph.
He is survived by his sons, Carl Dean Mullinax Jr. (Mary Anna) and Brian David Mullinax (Meredith Gibson); his grandchildren, Rachel Baio (Craig), Joshua Mullinax (Bethany Carron), and Delmy Mullinax; and his great-grandchild, Harvey Michael Mullinax.
He loved to play cards, fish, and spend time on his boat, enjoying the peace of the water. He will be remembered for the life he lived and the love he had for his family.
A private celebration of life will be held.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
His love lives on in the family he cherished.
