Mona "Sue" Wells Obituary

Mona Sue Wells, 75, of Sims passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson with the family will be receiving friends immediately following. Rev. Chris Hall will officiate.

Sue was a faithful member of New Sandy Hill OFWB Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was the Title Clerk with Manheim. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Ann Roberts and husband, Logan of Shelby; sons, Donald Ray Wells of Sims, and Anthony Lee Wells and wife, Tracy of Sims; granddaughters, Addison Wells, Molly Roberts, and Katie Roberts; grandsons, Austin Wells and wife, Monica, and Brandon Wells and wife, Bre; great-grandchildren, Walker, Billy, and Elizabeth; sister, Virginia Bissette and her special canine companion, Blackie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Wells; parents, Modis and Sarah Perry and her brothers, Harris Perry, Donald Perry, and Eugene Perry.
