Carl Beers Obituary

Carl Edmond Beers SUMMERVILLE - Carl Edmond Beers, 87, of Summerville, SC, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at his residence. Memorial Services will be Tuesday morning, June 3, 2025 at 11 o'clock at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville. Flowers are accepted or donations in his name may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society. The family will reassemble for burial at 2 o'clock in Summerville Cemetery. Carl was born September 13, 1937 in Hollywood, CA. An Army veteran, he worked in college publishing and enjoyed attending Bible studies, book club, travel, and sporting events. He and his wife, Barbara, traveled to six continents during their time together. He also loved to play tennis. He was always interested in learning and was an avid reader. He especially liked anything involving US history. He was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers, Portland Trailblazers, and the NY Yankees. Carl leaves behind his wife, Barbara Beers of Summerville, SC; sons, Kevin Beers (Christine) also of Summerville, SC and Greg Beers of Kansas City, MO; and his granddaughter, Brianna Beers. He is predeceased by his sisters, Carol Beers and Judy Mazzarino; mother, Margaret Myers Beers; and father, Clarence Russell Beers.
