I remember Wynn Harding when he was my Commanding Officer on the USS SEAHORSE (SSN 669). I still tell people that I believe he knew more about our ship's nuclear propulsion plant than anyone I ever knew. I learned a lot of things serving under him. Some of the lessons he taught me I passed on to my future sailors and even to my children.
Patty, I am sorry for your loss.

Dearest Patty and Andy and Terry and your families...my heart continues to break that your love and your dad isn't here in a daily way...but I can only hope that you find some peace in the months and years ahead in knowing that lucky you - you had the greatest guy in your lives. What a guy... loved him from the moment I met him over 50 years ago. Lucky that we got to spend so much time together so many years ago. Didn't see you all as much as could have wished in years current and past but not much time went by without my thinking about you all. The moments that stand out include Andy walking into my kitchen years ago in Gales Ferry looking for Rick...and your parents calling me after you were born Terry...and telling me that was your name. Okay..,yes there were those moments when I learned you could never have too much mayonnaise...yes!!! Wow...lucky you to have your dad be your dad and lucky you Patty...but you always knew that...that he was your guy and you were his girl... and lucky me to know you and be part of your world albeit just a smidge...but it means and meant so much to me. Loved him...and you...thank you for letting me be part of your world. Much love, Terry Buchanan
