Cannie "C.B." Griffin GOOSE CREEK - Cannie "C.B." Bennett Griffin, age 93, of Goose Creek, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Cannie was born in Lodge, SC on August 14, 1930 to the late Furman Hoyt Griffin and Nora Bennett Poston. C.B. is survived by his loving wife, Gladys F. Griffin; his step-sons, Leslie "John" Poston (Michelle) and Brian C. Poston (Candy); his granddaughters, McKenna Vae Griffin, Emily C. Poston, Leslie M. Poston, Kandi Poston, Leigh Talley, Amber Dupre, Siera Matherne; as well as his great- grandsons and many nieces. C.B. is preceded in death by his son, Gary "Dennie" Griffin; and his brother, Hoyt "Sonny" Griffin. In C.B.'s younger days, he served in the United States Airforce. After being honorably discharged, he went on to work for Westvaco for over 40 faithful years before retirement. In his free time, C.B. loved to play cards. He also loved traveling to Casinos and taking many other trips with his friends. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Taco. There will be a Visitation held for C.B. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM followed by a Chapel Service at 2:00 PM. Burial with be immediately after service at Carolina Memorial Gardens. 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
