Cooch rented me a house for about a year. He would make daily visits on his golf cart. We became close friends and I had a strong interest in WWII history. I read about it, he had lived it. One of the kindest people that I have ever known.

Harleyville will never be the same. I looked forward to visiting Mr. Cooch at my dad's house on his golf cart for many years.He could tell a story like no other.
