C. Knight Obituary

KNIGHT, C. Stanley C. Stanley Knight, 95, of Summerville, died Sunday, November 6, 2005, at his residence. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 18, 2005, at 11 o'clock at the Sturbridge Federated Church, Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Inurnment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Southbridge, Massachusetts. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: American Red Cross, 8085 Rivers Ave., Ste. F, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mr. Knight was born December 29, 1909, in Charlton, Massachusetts, a son of the late Clarence Henry Knight and Jenny Bird Knight. He was a longtime Rotarian and received the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He enjoyed traveling and visited the Grand Canyon seven times. He flew his own airplane for many years. He was an avid gardener, furniture refinisher and Nantucket basket maker and was a ham radio enthusiast. He was owner of Knight Chevrolet and a member of Sturbridge Federated Church. Surviving are: two daughters, Ethelind Knight-Schwartz of Summerville, Nancy Lawrence of Dayton, Texas; one son, Robert H. Knight of Sturbridge, Massachusetts; grandchildren, John C. Coggins, Debra A. Knight, Jennifer L. Palimeno, and Kaila K. Schwartz; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Wilson F.
