C.J. Todd Obituary

C.J. Todd CHARLESTON - C.J. Todd, 94, husband of Lee Todd, of Charleston, SC, died October 21, 2012 at The Veteran's Victory House. Born October 18, 1918 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late John F. Todd and Mattie Bryant Todd. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy, during World War II. He was a Mason and also a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. He retired as a Chief Engineer with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma Holmes Todd, his four brothers, five sisters and his 2 sons, Elbert R. Todd and Del F. Todd. He is survived by his wife of 31 years; his daughter, Lee T. Koster and her husband, Ronald of Yonges Island, SC; his daughter-in-law, Jill C. Todd, of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Carolyn Sue Young and her husband, Robert, of New Jersey, Keith Todd of Philadelphia, PA and Del Todd, Jr. of New Jersey; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, West Ashley Chapel. Entombment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel of the funeral home.
