Bryan Arrington Obituary

Bryan George Arrington PIONEER, CA -Bryan George Arrington, 40, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, held close in the arms of his love, life, 'favorite' wife, Katrina. Born in Waynesille, NC on February 13, 1981 to parents Philip and Dawn (Jones) Arrington. Bryan, of course, was ready to go and arrived 30 minutes ahead of his twin sister, Brandy. Soon after, the family moved to Walterboro, SC. Bryan enjoyed growing up in the Lowcountry and spent many happy weekends and summers with his family back in Waynesville. Bryan attended school in Walterboro and graduated from Walterboro High School in 2000. He always talked about the good times he had and the lifelong friendships he gained there. He especially enjoyed his time in The Band of Blue. He was also an active member of the First Baptist Church there in Walterboro, SC. Bryan knew from an early age what he wanted to do in life. He was blessed with a true gift and passion for culinary arts. He took culinary classes in high school and continued his studies in college at Trident Tech in Charleston, SC. Bryan was a well know local chef in South Carolina. He was an asset to every restaurant in which he worked. He was proud of his menus and recipes and loved to see people enjoying his creations. The creations for which he is most proud are his children. He loved being a father and always made time for his family. Bryan met his wife, Katrina, early in life. They were good friends throughout high school, began dating in college, and were married May 14, 2005 on Edisto Beach, SC. They were true partners and the best of friends. Lucky in love, always. Bryan loved music, sweet tea, fresh snow, his best friends, thunderstorms, quoting movies and inside jokes, The Packers, flip flops, and the beach. He loved family movie nights and video games with friends. He worked hard to provide for his family, to share his time, his life lessons, his favorite memories, and to fill the house with laughter. Those who know his laugh, know it was as infectious as his beautiful smile. He would ruin your bad mood, every time. He was larger than life, full of love, and had the kindest heart. Bryan was loved and a friend to all, he will be missed by so many. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dawn, and his eldest son, Dylan. He is survived by his loving wife, Katrina Arrington of Pioneer, CA, his children, Evan and Lane; sisters, April (Ryan) Kegl of Charleston, SC and Brandy (Jared) Fralix of Walterboro, SC, his father, Philip (Paula) Arrington of North Charleston, SC, in-laws, Gail Pilgram and Michael Wilson of Charleston, SC, four nieces, three nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. At the family's request, there will be no services at this time. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.danerimortuary.com and signing the guest book. Bryan was in one of the first classes I taught at WHS along with his sister Brandi. He was a great guy and a good student. I am truly saddened by his passing and extend my deepest sympathy to all the family. May God help you all with your grief. I am sorry this is a little late.

Bryan,

If I could find some old pictures of us 28 or so years ago I’d post them. I asked my mom to look for them. You remind me that life is short, and I just have to be a better friend to people I grew up with. I’ll never forget how close we once were riding bikes in Long Leaf and playing Super Nintendo all day and night. Your boys are probably like we were. Condolences to Katrina and family...RIP

Bryan was such a kind soul. I was lucky to get to know him through Katrina. Katrina and I worked together at Belk and became good friends. Bryan had a way of making you smile even if you were feeling your lowest. My son Grayson still says he is the best Chef EVER!! We lived right around the corner from one of the restaurants he worked. There never were many male figures in my son’s life at the time. I am so very happy he was one of the male role models in his life. My son is 18 now, and he will never forget him, and never will I!! I am sending prayers of love and comfort to the family!!

We're going to miss you. I'll carry with me the best alfredo sauce ever and keep spreading that love for you! You introduced me to Final Fantasy and that was something I'll never forget as well. The night's after work that we hung out were always the best back then.

Love you dude! You'll be missed.

Sorry for everyone's loss.
