Herb was a great man. He set the standard in leadership, integrity, and how to treat others. He represented the very best our country has to offer. It was a pleasure to have worked with him for many years. His influence and character were recognized by many across the US and in other countries. He will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with Julia and the entire Ellis family.

Uncle Herb was the very essence of a great man! He was always so sweet, kind, giving and loving. We all loved and adored him so much! He served our country with honor and valor...loved Aunt Julia, Rick, Kim, Will, Matt, Sophie, Jim, Jenny, Cooper, Cameron and Reed with as much love as anyone could or want to be loved. He showed that love always to his brothers, sister and all of us cousins. I have been so devastated by his loss but have great comfort that he is with my Dad, Grandparents, Will, Aunt Ann, Uncle Jerry and Uncle Eddie. My prayers are continuing for Aunt Julia, Rick, Jim and their beautiful families. Heaven was graced immensely when he entered those gates!

I loved Uncle Herb very much and so did the rest of my family. He was a beloved brother to my mother and his brothers and a beloved son to his parents. He was also an honored military veteran and I admire his courage and thank him for his service to our country. I send my love and deepest sympathy to my Aunt Julia and my cousins, Rick and Jim, and their families. Uncle Herb will be in our hearts forever!
