Brigitte Willoughby Edwards Summerville - Brigitte Willoughby Edwards, 80, of Summerville, wife of the late Paul W. Willoughby of 32 years, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at her residence. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 2 o'clock at Summerville Cemetery, 1330 Boonehill Rd., Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers will be accepted. Brigitte was born on June 13, 1941, in Schopfloch, Germany, daughter of the late Friedrich and Hilde Haehnlein. She was a member of River Bluff Baptist Church and the VFW. She was the owner of Honeycomb Beauty Salon for 40 plus years. Brigitte loved line dancing, shopping and a lover of desserts to satisfy her sweet tooth. She enjoyed making floral arrangements and was very creative. She loved her church, family, children, grandchildren and they always came first. Survivors include: three children: Connie Ward (Dirk) of Cummings, GA, Carolyn Baldwin (Michael) of Summerville and David Willoughby (Suzanne) of Summerville; nine grandchildren: Billy Strickland (Tara), Brigitte Baldwin-Eller (Matthew), Amanda Medford (Daniel), Megan Tupper (Bubba), Shelby Willoughby, Taylor Willoughby, K.C. Willoughby, Jo Lynn and Dirk Ward; eight great-grandchildren: Lexi, Maddie, Tanner, Chase, Jake, Cameron, Noah, and Luke; and sister, Claudia Toms (Donald) of Summerville. In addition to her late husband, Paul, and parents, she was predeceased by her second husband, Robert N. Edwards.
